Satin was drafted by the Mets in the 6th round (194th overall) of the 2008 amateur draft. He played at Cal from 2004-2008, after being redshirted his freshman season. In 2008 he batted .379 with 18 homers and 52 RBIs. He is a graduate of Harvard-Westlake High School in Los Angeles, CA. Satin is a native of Hidden Hills, CA.
