Tim Teufel

Member of the 1986 World Champs. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 2nd round of the 1980 amateur draft. On January 16, 1986 Tim was traded by the Minnesota Twins with Pat Crosby to the Mets for Billy Beane, Bill Latham, and Joe Klink. He was traded to the San Diego Padres for Garry Templeton on May 31, 1991. A fixture in Mets‘ fans‘ memory for the “Teufel Shuffle” as a cog in the ‘86 Mets machine, Tim Teufel brings his firey brand of baseball to the Mets high A club after a successful run as the skipper of the Brooklyn Cyclones. Teufel returned in 2007 as the Manager of the Mets new A ball team, the Savannah Gnats. He managed St. Lucie in 2008 and 2009, and was promoted to manage Binghamton in 2010.
