Mets Agree To Deal With Chris Young

The Mets have agreed to a deal with former Padres starting pitcher Chris Young, pending a physical. Young who for his career is 48-34 with a 3.80 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP missed most of last season with post surgery complications, and most of 2009 with shoulder surgery for a torn labrum. He made his first start of 2010 and pitched six innings of one-hit ball, but he suffered a shoulder strain and didn’t pitch again until September, when he appeared in three games.
