I think we should go all out to get ARod and have him play left field. I think he would blossom on this team and I think the fans would embrace him.

I know that george would never let him go here, but I think it would be a perfect fit. I can't even begin to imagine what our order would be.

I hope that doesn't happen.

We need pitching, and we have enough high-priced every day players.

I think the fans have gotten to him to the point where he will never be successful in NY. (*Edit: successful meaning to the level he was prior to this year)
You're right about Steinbrenner not letting that happen though. I'd also like to add that A-Rod would have to approve the trade. I'm not sure he would waive his no trade to play LF in a city that hates his guts.

The only way I can see him waiving his no trade, is if it's to play SS for a contending team on the west coast. JMHO

Plus I do not want to see our current prospects blossom in pinstripes.

no thanks to A-Rod, he's a distraction that isn't needed. That ship sailed long ago. Now, a 1yr deal for Sheffield to play corner outfield I might be interested in if they move Green in the offseason.

Let ARod leave NY. I think the Mets will have their eyes on different players this offseason. Let the Yankees figure out their own mess.
