He's woefully bad.

Not only is he not an impact bat anymore, him being an upgrade against what the Mets were trotting out there every day before he got there is questionable.

Discuss.

Milledge post ASB: .262/.342/.354 (65 AB)

Not good, but certainly comparable with what Green's brought to the table.

Green post ASB: .233/.317/.377 (183 AB)

I only hope the Mets can pawn him off on some team foolish enough to take him.

It's too late for that. Maybe play Lastings these last few weeks and see if he can get hot. He's going to be there in the playoffs either way though.

If Castro comes back, which last I heard the organization expected him to, I don't think Milledge is even eligible for the playoffs.

If the Mets could clone Endy Chavez, or be sure that Cliff Floyd will be 100% ready to answer the bell every time, there'd be no need for Green.

Since neither of those things can happen, Green's presence is a plus.

Tucker and Ledee are not ML starters, let alone postseason ML starters. Milledge is not ready to handle big spots on a daily basis.

Iran scarys me, if we drop bombs on the urainum projects it's only going to bring more damage. Half of there country is buried underground, they have spent billions on there underground infasturture. Droping bombs will only be the start of the end. imo, l HOPe I'm wrong cause i'm only 25!

My step dad travels to Iran for business, (under a fake name) he says the people of Iran are good people, but the president is nuts..

This is a tough situation for the Mets. They need to try and get Floyd and Green going, but they need to keep Endy sharp, and they need to get some AB's for Milledge if they're going to add him to the post season roster.

I like Green, but personally I'd rather see Endy and Milledge platoon.

Aside from a two game hitting spree, Green's been absolutely inept for the Mets(and it's not like he's a plus defensively). Milledge is a total unknown quantity - but hey, sometimes you've got to roll the dice. Against a LHP, I'd rather see Milledge than Floyd OR Green. Their approaches vs LHP have simply been horrid.

Fair enough, but who even knows if or when he'll be back.

When Green was traded, a lot of people didn't understand why Arizona fans were dancing in the streets. Now we know.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Edge faces lefties in the playoffs. I just don't want Milledge out there every playoff game. We need a solid veteran guy, and I think Green will be solid in the playoffs (no big mistakes) and if he's hitting 7th, I don't really care if he's still the 40 HR guy he used to be.
