Personally I would take "Curly Shuffle" or "Hooked On A Feeling". Why no "Meet The Mets", you ask? An 8th inning song so perky and cherry when usually we are pissed either way in a win or loss as this game is concluding. It would seem out of place in the 8th inning. A song as they take the field? Yes. 8th inning? No. I am dead-set against "Twist And Shout". I do not want to see people dancing.

I hate the token hip-hop choice. Firstly, LL Cool J is a Yankees fan. Secondly, the song is a terrible sing-a-long tune. Where's Run DMC, The Beastie Boys, Grandmaster Flash, Public Enemy, Nas?

I have no comments on "I Like It Like That". It's Motown, I'm assuming it is the The Miracles version, it's Detroit. Also I read the lyrics, it reads like an order not any kind of gung-ho fan sing-a-long.

These polls have no credibility when the Mets will just ignore whatever wins and go with whatever they feel like playing. How many times does Sweet Caroline have to be booed out of the ballpark for the Mets to stop trying it every year?

There is no more "Sweet Caroline" anymore as option. That was the whole point of the poll.

I'll believe Sweet Caroline is gone when we go a full season without it.

But the red sox also had an 8th inning sing along way before we did. So, someone who complains about using sweet Caroline because the red sox used it, but then suggests other songs for an 8th inning singalong is being inconsistent IMO.

the fans don't like it. if they boo when it's played it justs sends a signal to not play it anymore. i don't understand the stubborness of why they keep on playing it. listen to the fans, thats all.

What exactly have our fans done that warrants being listened to? A fanbase that boo's santana in his first start at home, and boo's David wright and complains about the color of the walls doesn't have the moral coin to tell the team what to do IMO.
