Mets Mike Baxter delivers an RBI single and Ronny Cedeno drives in two more with a single. 3-1 Mets heading to the bottom of the second.

McCulloughSL Adam Loewen ropes a single. Mike Baxter follows with an RBI single soon after. A wild day for their competition.

Gee has only allowed one run so far, but 5 hits, including 3 ground-rule doubles in 3 innings, so he's not exactly fooling people out there.

Lutz is playing, so scratch him off the infirmary list.

Olsen actually took over, quick 1-2-3, including an Uggla K.

Matt Harvey retires all six Braves he faced. Fanned Jason Heyward on 95-MPH heat (scoreboard reading). Mets lead Atlanta 3-2 after 6.

Chuck James in now.

Unrelated to this game: Trevor Bauer is pretty awesome; PFX has him consistently pumping 96 mph on his fastball. I liked Gerrit Cole more in the draft but I can't wait to see Bauer get called up this year.

Not a great showing for Chuck. Walks chipper, gets Hinske to pop out, allows a single to Heyward and is pulled with runners on the corners.

Cabrera comes in and hits a batter, then gets 2 flyouts to get out of it with 1 run in on a sac.

James: .1 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 ER
Cabrera: .2 IP, 1 HBP

Vinny Rottino, obviously smelling a roster spot after Rubin's blog post, doubles down the line in the 8th.
