No need to trawl the ocean bottom when you have a younger guy with a decent pedigree who can be a jackof-all-trades (4 positions + pitcher of last resort).
Heck give him a catchers glove from the left side, and you have three roster needs filled with one guy.

If Loewen fits the bench role as backup OF (all three spots) and LH power bat and Santana is in the rotation to start the season, it'll be interesting to see what -- if anything -- Sandy does with that alleged $1m floating around.

Murphy wants to practice double plays so much, he grounds into one to end the first after Cedeno walked and Tejada grounded out to third.
