Loewen in CF. Something to watch.

Changeup at 78 mph gets Bonafacio swinging.

All systems go for Santana.

Santana looks very impressive. Hit 90 on at least 1 pitch

It would be nice to be able to have Loewen as the backup CF vs. picking up some scrub just to fill that role.

Yeah, I think/hope that's what the Mets are doing right now. Let's all hope he looks functional out there.

Loewen, Loewen, Loewen...

Agreed on all Loewen fronts.

No need to trawl the ocean bottom when you have a younger guy with a decent pedigree who can be a jackof-all-trades (4 positions + pitcher of last resort).

Heck give him a catchers glove from the left side, and you have three roster needs filled with one guy.

If Loewen fits the bench role as backup OF (all three spots) and LH power bat and Santana is in the rotation to start the season, it'll be interesting to see what -- if anything -- Sandy does with that alleged $1m floating around.

Murphy wants to practice double plays so much, he grounds into one to end the first after Cedeno walked and Tejada grounded out to third.
