Of course, since Hairston and Bay are back, Wright is out of the lineup. Can't have too many starters playing at once.

Santana's final tuneup for Opening Day should be throwing 40 pitches of batting practice in a simulated-game type arrangement.
In five starts, the southpaw had a 3.44 ERA and allowed 17 hits and seven walks while striking out 13 in 18 1/3 innings in Grapefruit League play. His highest pitch count was 88, in his final exhibition start, so Santana's ability to go beyond 90 pitches early in the season is in doubt.

All the more reason to carry a guy like Schwinden who can eat up some of the early season innings "left on the table" by Santana etc.

Two choppers up the middle to start the game vs. Niese. Tejada charged with an error on the second one which is a little weird because it's not clear he touched it. Not a good play by him though.

the rare non-touch error on Tejada on a ball that gets through the infield.

Niese freezes Zimmerman with the curve for a K.

I just went back and watched the one they gave Tejada an error on, I can see it being called one, he was there...it just went under his glove.
