You're just not going to win that argument when he hit .269/.309/.380 there, now as a corner infielder.
In 2010 (at St. Lucie), he hit .300 (in 277 ab's), with 18 doubles, 1 triple, 4 homers, 40 ribbies, and and an OPS of .739 (as an 18-year old). Some thought he should have played at Bingo last year instead of repeating High Class A. My ultimate point here is that there shouldn't even be an argument to win. Flores belongs at AA (especially now that he's on the 40-man roster). We need to see if his bat plays at AA and if he can handle the jump. Flores > Marte, and we all know Marte is a disaster at 3rd. Flores is superior in the field and with the bat, and should have been given the chance, imho. My 2 cents.....

Kind of weird that Cohoon was kept behind just to throw an inning against the Yankees today.
With the Bingo roster needing to get pared down a bit, I wonder if he's maybe going to start the year on the inactive list and Arm-Rod will be in the rotation instead. Then again, Arm-Rod is on waivers so...yeah.

Toby seemingly likes Wheeler less than almost every other "expert"
Quote:
Best Prospect Zack Wheeler. He was #3 in my pre-season rankings, and Paul DePodesta recently said that he has better stuff than most ML starters, that the next step for Zack to improve “how consistently he’s able to make the ball go where he wants and do what he wants.” Frankly, I think that oversells Wheeler a little. The fastball and slider are there, and the curve has made progress. When I saw him at the end of 2011, his change up would have been well below average: it was still firm and without much movement.

Cohoon and Ratliff (he should be on the DL) are not listed on the roster on the BMets site. I assume Cohoon will be placed on before his start and one of the eight relievers will be taken off.
