Not sure if anyone has listened to the radio broadcasts but Josh Lewin is a breath of fresh air from Wayne Hagin. He's got the announcing voice, is technically sound and isn't 10 seconds behind the action like Hagin was.
Yeah, I dreaded the fact that I was relegated to the radio for a good portion of two games, but Lewin was genuinely fun to listen to.

I don't see why Nickeas would start today. It's not like he's even a decent bat, where starting the righty over the lefty would make sense. Thole had off Sunday, no need to sit him tonight.

Especially considering the game Thole had last night.

The Mets have a day game on Wednesday. So, Thole is either going to sit out tonight or on Wednesday. I do not see him playing a day game after a night game. I assume he gets off tonight because of the lefty pitcher.

I think it'd be a mistake.
Even though only 1 AB is against a lefty, he is 5-9 with 2 BB to 0 K on the year. He seems to be seeing the ball great at the moment. Why sit him when the guy you're replacing him with isn't a better hitter vs LHP anyways?
Wow David Lennon thinks Ozzie is going to be out in Miami
The Marlins are a fiasco of an organization, really.
-Financed the new ballpark without taxpayer consent, and are now being investigated.
-Hired this imbecile who may be fired/have to resign after ONE WEEK.
-Loria and Sampson make offensive remarks about the state/fan base on a weekly basis.
-Even when they WIN, they strip their team down...which is why all of their new FA deals are backloaded.
...For the hell of it, I checked on Marlins.com to see how tough it'd be to get a ticket. Checked for their next Saturday home game, and was able to get EIGHTEEN seats in a row in the upper deck behind home plate. EIGHTEEN.
...It would be hysterical for Ozzie to resign/get fired after a week, followed by the team tanking, fans (predictably) not showing up, and the whole thing blowing up on them.

At this point I am just hoping their firesale that is bound to happen does not include sending Reyes to the Yankees/Braves/Phillies within two years.

Lineup guesses, anyone?
I think Thole should start tonight as well.
SS - Tejada - R 2B - Murphy - L 3B - Wright - R LF - Bay - R RF - Duda - L CF - Hairston - R 1B - Turner - R C - Thole - L
EDIT: Maybe flip Duda and Hairston?
I know its an old argument from spring and its likely to fall on deaf ears at this point, but god I hope someone sits TC down, now that its about to happen real-time, and reason with him about this Turner-at-1B thing.
When you have 2 guys besides your starter whose best position is 1B, and they are absolutely no asset in their current spot, why you would start a different guy, who has no experience at 1B and you have no reason to believe would be an asset there defensively, makes 0 sense.
The closer we get to it becoming reality, the more mind-boggling it is to me. I get the idea of not jerking guys around, but these are professional baseball players. Is it really going to shatter either Murphy or Duda's world if for 1 day every week or 2 weeks they go back to their natural position (1B) in the name of at least preserving defense when you take your cleanup hitter out of the lineup? That way, you could do things like improve your infield defense by using Cedeno at 2B for a night if you had an especially groundball-y looking game coming (i.e., Pelf's reemergence as a sinker-baller is legit, or any Dickey start)...or get a guy like Hairston a start he otherwise wouldn't in RF with Duda at 1B, and especially agaisnt a LHP, make an argument your not hurting yourself too significantly even with Ike on the bench, etc, rather than simply locking in this Turner at 1B arrangement, which makes an already suspect defense even more so and using a guy who hasn't shown any discernable platoon advantage to date to boot. I think Turner is still an option to be used (at his natural 2B, which gets Murphy over to 1B), but I don't necessarily think he'll always be the best one (in most cases, probably not) and I just don't see any true advantage over any of the alternatives to using him at 1B.
