From the B-Mets’ radio broadcast, which used the word “electric” on the post-game, it sounded like he was getting swings and misses with both his fastball and curve. Two starts for Wheeler: 9 IP, 13 K, 3 BB.

LHP Chase Huchingson has as different a baseball pedigree as you can imagine from Wheeler. While Wheeler was the former first round pick traded at the deadline for the six-time All-Star, Huchingson was a non-drafted free agent out of a small school where he was a pitcher and an outfielder. Huchingson Friday in a 2-0 win: 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 5 K. In 12.2 IP in advanced-A, he’s fanned 10, walked three and yielded six hits.

Buffalo struck for a pair in the 2nd. Lutz doubled and scored on Rob Johnson's sac fly and then Jordany Valdespin doubled in Tuiasosopo. Quintanilla was actually thrown out at the plate trying to score from 1st on the play.

BTW, "Win Now Wally" is probably going to want to play Bobby Scales every game, meaning I have a feeling Valdespin is basically going to play CF all year.
