Huchingson has stretched his scoreless streak to 17.2 innings to start the year, getting help from Rafael Fernandez (gunned down a runner at the plate).
Gorski was 88-91 on the FB. CU came in around 79-81. Kept changing speeds up and had the Portland hitters way off balance. Seems like he caught many looking for offspeed and would pop a 89 mph FB over the plate without them even getting the bat off their shoulder. Couldn't get a idea of any breaking pitch from my angle, but overall he certainly looked the part of a major league prospect.
93 was his high. Had a changeup, I presume, that really fooled one of the Sea Dogs that came in at 79. I guess it could have been a curve though? Tough to tell from where I sat.
