But yet others will say how he's not bad out there. Please.
TC called him a "pro" and a "ballplayer" that time, and there's been plenty of things written that he's "steady", ergo, ignore all the data, he's a fine outfielder. Not one of the worst.
Also, he's left his feet twice tonight on balls (don't ask whether it was necessary or not) and made solid contact with the ball with some part of his body. Have to appreciate the hustle.

That might have been the hardest ball Bay's hit as a met. Shoulder injury leads to Bay hitting? Jason Bayengartner?
Haha, I was thinking the same.
He has plenty of ground ball singles and long fly balls that either find gaps or clear fences, but how many actual frozen rope line drives does he have here?

I love the Mets, but this is a bad team. If our pitching is not dominant, we see the flaws and this defense is just putrid.
They'll eventually hit more than this, and that'll help. They'll outslug their flaws occassionally.
But they're deeply flawed. Again, as we all said, its easy to get out to a hot start when your rotation completely shuts down your opponents 2 times through. To the extent you think that is/was sustainable, they'll be able to keep up playing competitive ball, no doubt.
