Scoreless after 1 in St. Lucie, but Wilmer has another hit.

Erik Goeddel since his injury last year:

39.2 IP, 30 Ks, 23 BBs

Good ERA is great and all, but thats not going to work.

Entering today, Wilmer has a 7% strikeout rate and .193 ISO in 100 PA. Walk rate needs some improvement, but still really good things. He also seems to be handling the 3B transition very well.

Rubin had a solid report today, found in the Rubin Minor League Report thread.

The early returns of both guys seemingly excelling as they haven't before on both sides of the ball seems to definitely validate the FO's decisions on where to put both Marte and Wilmer. Can't really argue with the results.

The problem now becomes that you want to get each guy defensive reps as much as possible, so theres not an obvious promotion to be had even if Wilmer warrants it by mid-season. You could certainly rotate them between 3B and 1B, but not sure we want to do that with either guy.
