Carson is hitting 96 on pretty much every fastball. Hit 97 on Escobar's groundout. Sloppy command of his breaking ball.

Nice debut for Carson. Impressive velocity, even if some if it was from the adrenaline rush; he sat 95-97 easily.

It'll be interesting to see how effective his offspeed stuff is after we get some more looks.

If Pelfrey didn't fall to us we were 100% taking Bruce. We had a pre-draft deal to sign him #-o
