I have to do a mea culpa on Baxter.

I pretty much thought before the season he was a scrub, who was a cool story because he's from Whitestone. But he's been terrific.

I don't expect him to stay like this. But I think he does things that show, yes, he's a baseball player.

Obviously smart (Columbia and Vandy for college) and seems to be one of those guys who understands what he needs to do to have major league career.

David Wright has a 1.110 OPS with only 5 homeruns. Is it safe to call Mike Baxter a David Wright Lite?

Small sample, but I was all for Loewen over him. I am definitely excited to see another good storyline this year.
