I have to say, Like Gary, I never believed the Mets would get one in my lifetime. From the Age of 4, like many here at a young age, I hoped and dreamed for this moment. From my first broken heart in 88 (my first real experience with the mets). From the dismantling of the 86 mets a couple seasons after that. Watching so many pitchers throw a no hitter, thinking, how great a feeling it was for them and the fans of those teams.

Well we finally did it! It still sweet the morning after and I can say I still teared up watching the highlights and Terry talking to the media. I never gave him credit but he earned my respect from here on out. In no way was the decision to let Johan remain an easy one. He did and I will always remember that. From this day forward, I will never doubt him or the team again.

Except I am superstitious and the mets have continued to prove me wrong. They seem to be doing the opposite of what I said before the season started. Lets hope that continues.

UNDERDOGS
YA GOTTA BELIEVE

On a side note: I dont know how Molina felt about the no hitter but the look told me, he was not happy.

Molina EAT YOUR FREAKIN HEART OUT.

I "watched" the game on Yahoo game log from the 7th inning on. My only regret was that I could not see this game as I always hoped that I could watch the Mets first no-hitter.

Congrats to Johan and the Mets....and congrats to us, the fans. I've waited for this since 1962 and we came sooooooooooooooo close a few times with our greatest pitcher ever, Tom Seaver.

I love this forum and while I do not post too often, I read a sizeable amount of the threads. With that, I am beginning to get a funny feeling in my bones, a feeling that, while it is early, tells me this year could be a miracle in the making. With Tejada, Bay and Chris Young nearly ready to come back and Ike at some point finding his timing AND the possibility that our bullpen may steadilly become revamped with some arms with "stuff" (welcome ELVIN!) a season that promised to be fun, COULD VERY WELL BECOME F-U-N!!

We shall see...but inh the meantime...JOHAN RULES!!! (hey, not to forget Mr Dickey, who also rules!)

Have a great day everyone! :-)
