today and tonight -- a ton of Mets gear out. It's like a ton of fans just sloughed off all the negativity and decided to fly their colors. Lots of people nodding at me walking around today in my Mets hat.

Great feeling.

Last weekend my wife and I were at Costco, I had a Mets shirt on and I spotted an older gentleman wearing a Mets hat. My wife went to use the facilities and by the time she returned, I was already involved in an in-depth conversation about the Mets and Met-fandom. After a couple more minutes, we wrapped up our conversation and each went our separate ways.

As we're walking away, my wife turns to me and says, "I knew you'd be talking with that guy..."

I proudly wore my orange Johan Santana jersey shirt today.

I wish they sold more Dickey stuff... and why do the shirts have to be of the thick/stuff cotton variety? Soft is in!
