We're so banged up we have to have Beltran in CF.. this should be fun... that said it's our best lineup in who knows how long this season.
G'luck this series guys and girls!
Wasn't his knee barking coming into this series? And they are putting him back in CF? Why take a chance?
Yes it was.. Craig is returning from his injury (his defense in RF may not even be good right now).. they wanted Matt Adams still in the lineup.. Schumaker lately was the CF with Jon Jay out.. was placed on the DL.. They could go with Shane Robinson or Adron Chambers but their offense is nowhere this season.. which is why the Cards have to do this.
There was talk when he signed with the Cards they'd have him in CF at times with Jay out of the lineup and Craig in RF... just didn't expect it to be this early, if any.
The Cardinals are coming off a really bad stretch in May but there is one positive (which may not be for ya all), Adam Wainwright has looked very sharp his last 2 games.
