Quintanilla is out options. And heard the organization doesn't think he'd clear waivers. So he could stick when others activated from DL.

Sounds good to me. Maybe a Cedeno DFA is in the offing? I hope so.

For the love of God, let it be so. I'll be rather disappointed if we DFA OQ to add Cedeno.

I'm glad keeping him is at least a consideration, he should be on this roster over Cedeno.

I didn't necessarily read it as he stays over Cedeno.

I figured Turner, the one with options, would be in trouble.

The point of keeping Q is to "maintain depth", if options are a factor. Releasing Cedeno does the same thing that DFA'ing Q would do, right?

Maintaing depth wise yes. Controlling costs for next season, having Q as the back-up middle infielder saves probably about $1 million (he's arbitration eligible) to use somewhere else.

I know we talked about this last week, but I hope Turner doesn't get optioned down because he's good for the team IMO.

I don't think Turner would be sent down. My guess it would be Rottino. 1. Turner can play 1st against the lefties. 2. Valdespin can play the outfield if need be.

Not gonna carry Tejada, Turner, Cedeno and OQ. One of them is likely going somewhere and it's not Tejada.
