Noted Lefty Mashers Ronny Cedeno and Mike Nickeas in there.

Alternate noted lefty masher Justin Turner does not get the call.

Ronny Cedeno hitting ahead of Ike Davis makes me sad.

Also, I'm dead serious...Johan should be hitting ahead of Nickeas.

Can we officially call 2B a Murphy/Cedeno platoon?

Last week it was a Murphy/Valdy "hot hand" situation.

Turner probably gets in there at some point too.

I think we can call 2B a time share; I'd be hesitant to try and figure out who is exactly sharing the time most consistently, though.

Should be noted:

Murphy, career, vs. LHP: .701 OPS
Cedeno, career, vs. LHP: .608 OPS
Justin Turner, career, vs. LHP: .607 OPS

It would be a terrible spot to platoon, with the current cast of characters.

I've been tweeting at Sandy, Rubin, and anyone else with a voice about that JT LHP OPS situation.

The problem is Murphy has a .617 OPS in 100 PAs vs. LHP this year. It's not unfathomable that Cedeno is the better option vs. LHP at this point, factoring in defense.

Its not unfathomable, factoring in defense, that Cedeno is the better choice vs. all pitchers right now, if you want to go down that path.

So long as Murphy doesn't hit, he's useless. Cedeno is a plus glove, along with a terrible stick. Using the same logic as the Hairston vs. Torres against RHP argument, its hard for me to be hypocritical here.

Just saying, there is nothing that makes Cedeno preferable against LHP vs. RHP with regards to Murphy.
