The problem is Murphy has a .617 OPS in 100 PAs vs. LHP this year. It's not unfathomable that Cedeno is the better option vs. LHP at this point, factoring in defense.

Its not unfathomable, factoring in defense, that Cedeno is the better choice vs. all pitchers right now, if you want to go down that path.
So long as Murphy doesn't hit, he's useless. Cedeno is a plus glove, along with a terrible stick. Using the same logic as the Hairston vs. Torres against RHP argument, its hard for me to be hypocritical here.
Just saying, there is nothing that makes Cedeno preferable against LHP vs. RHP with regards to Murphy.
