Also, Familia looks great. Wish they were giving us a velocity...that slider is filthy.

92-94 when they've disclosed it.

Thanks. I could live with that, especially if he can dial it up when he needs to.

I think I'm just going to call Familia's breaking ball a slurve; it looks like a slider sometimes and other times it looks like a curve. The speed appears to always be the same too, granted there is never a radar gun.

IF Bingo stays on turn:

Tomorrow (12th): Cohoon
Weds (13th): Wheeler
Thursday (14th): McHugh
Friday (15th): Germen
Saturday (16th): Gorski (pitching on 6 days rest, so easily moved up a day if needed)
Sunday (17th): Peavey (pitching on 6 days rest, so could start on 15th technically on regular rest)

Essentially, everyone in Bingo is in play, probably except Cohoon.

So,

Why do they need a starter on the 15th? They have an off day on the 13th...so even if someone needed to be skipped, they could just bump everyone up a day.

And Jeurys is definitely pronounced with a HAY at the beginning.

According to Wally, Buffalo needs a starter on the 15th.

Hmmm...

:D

If its not Wheeler, then i hope it is McHugh. Both of them would need to move up and stay up though, doesn't really fill the need for a spot start.

Scott Kazmar, with an assist to the utterly un-stretchable Josh Satin, has bungled two pretty easy throws-on-the-move the last two innings.

So much for that defensive scouting report from the BMets.

Nice start for Huchingson tonight (7IP 5H 1ER 1BB 5K), who's been quietly solid this year.

He's walked too many guys - I suspect that when he goes back to the pen, which he probably will at some point since it's only realistic hope of reaching the majors, he may do better. I think he's still a half decent lefty relief prospect, though he's obviously behind Leathersich/Edgin/Kolarek.

If we had a kangaroo court, that would be a 5 dollar fine....

Kazmar is routinely unimpressive. I was going to note that the other day and then got lazy

Homerun aside, I'm happy Familia isn't walking batters.
