Price career splits:

.249 wOBA vs. L
.305 wOBA vs. R

Could spell trouble for our lineup.

I think our hitters need to be patient today and tomorrow. These guys will walk people at times.

But plays right to our manager's strengths in lineup making.

You just have to worry about those reverse-platoon guys.

You have to get all the righties in there; Bay, Rottino (DH), Torres, Hairston. Unfortunately, no matter what, there will be at least 3 lefties in there between Valdespin/Murphy, Davis/Duda, and Quintanilla. Maybe 4 if Thole starts.

Here's the lineup:

Quote:
Adam Rubin ‏@AdamRubinESPN
Wednesday #Mets lineup vs. LHP Price: Torres-8, Murphy-4, Wright-5, Hairston-9, Bay-7, Rottino-DH, Davis-3, Nickeas-2, Quintanilla-6

That's pretty much as best as we could hope for given the matchup.

Even against a lefty i'd rather see Thole in there instead of Nickeas. He's a total waste of a lineup spot.

Day game after night game tomorrow. Know they just had Monday off, but like the sac bunt and other things, you know the manager will give Thole one of these next 2 off.

Better today than tomorrow.

If Bay doesn't get off the 0-fer tonight, its probably time to just assume he'll never get another hit and act accordingly.

Only half-kidding.

I probably would too, but meh. Thole was very likely going to rest in one of these next 2 games; better tonight than tomorrow given the matchup.

Take a lot of pitches, take a few walks and get to the bullpen early.

And always, always have faith in Dickey the Almighty.
