I'm pretty hopeful Ike can become our cleanup hitter now, he's almost leading the team in RBI's which I would have never guessed since he's been dreadful for most of the year but ima believer he's an easy 100 RBI type guy. Just hope he continues on this run.

Can we finally stop this nonsense about Ike now? 1B for this team now and the future.
The games at the beginning of the year are just as important as those at the end. I want to see a season of sustained success before I determine that he's going to be fine for the foreseeable future.

I think its pretty clear at this point that the first 150 plate appearances this year were a re-adjusting period for Ike after missing basically a full year.

Howie and Josh were discussing Bay during the first AB today and Josh noted how inept Ike looked at the same number of ABs Bay has had so far.
I'm frankly skeptical, but I have to admit I was one of the people seriously wondering if Ike needed to go to Buffalo.

Yeah, and if you're using the "He's 19" logic, then I guess the best report a scout could give us is:
"I have no idea. He's a teenager. He may go through 5 arm surgeries between now and his 30th birthday. He may add a pitch. He may lose a pitch. He may put on 30 lbs and add velocity. He may put on 50 lbs and eat his way out of the league. I literally have no idea what he is going to be."
But thats not what these guys are paid to do, nor what we are looking for them to do, right?
