Very curious to see how Flores/Marte work out, although now Flores has a tad bit of 2b experience and either one can also DH.

Yeah, and if you're using the "He's 19" logic, then I guess the best report a scout could give us is:

"I have no idea. He's a teenager. He may go through 5 arm surgeries between now and his 30th birthday. He may add a pitch. He may lose a pitch. He may put on 30 lbs and add velocity. He may put on 50 lbs and eat his way out of the league. I literally have no idea what he is going to be."

But thats not what these guys are paid to do, nor what we are looking for them to do, right?

My guess: Rodriguez to Buffalo with Emaus or Fisher being released/placed on DL and Stevens, Ozga and Moore released or DL. Bonfe is actually hitting over 300, I think that keeps him around for a bit.

St. Lucie numbers don't really add up either anymore. Even though they have 25 active players, only 11 are position players, so with the DH the only bench player is the back-up catcher.

11 position players means 2 bench spots. 8)

What kind of flexibility do they have to carry extra minor leaguers?

I assume they wouldn't want to do it too much and are preparing to make some hard choices.

But can they "taxi squad" guys (or something similar) for a few days?

They'll probably send Rylan Sandoval back down to St. Lucie.

Correct. He was rushed and proceeded to spend like half a decade in St. Lucie.
