It's pretty pathetic when you come to think of it.....four relievers to try to protect a 7 run lead.
Parnell has me anxiously waiting the return of Francisco.... and willing to welcome KRod back with open arms.
Well if it's true that Turner screwed up the easy ground ball out that would have ended the game, then Parnell gets a bit of a pass. Though the lead off hit and HBP are in the negative section of his ledger. lol

Now if we can only get rid of the Wilpons and replaced them with Mark Cuban the STO master plan can be complete!

We need some relievers.
Doesn't have to be grade A upgrades but bring in some new arms here, even if we're pulling them off the scrap heap. I'd trade for one of the better arms available who could close, whether it be Myers, Street, K-Rod and then I'd also try and get a lesser named arm either through trade or signing someone who was DFA'ed.

Parnell has been getting a pass for the past 1.5 years. He simply does not get the job done.

I think the opposite is true: he's a good reliever who we expect too much from. Parnell would have a spot in any bullpen in the league. He's just not as good as he seems like he should be.

I'd be pretty shocked if they trade for Street unless the price is a lot lower than we expect.

I'm just saying in general trading for a guy we can stick at closer, whether that's Myers, Broxton, Street, or K-Rod. This is what I'd do anyway, the front office probably has different plans.

Like I said on the other thread it sounds like they plan on playing "trade musical chairs" trading for the "cheapest" (in terms of talent) 1-2 arms and hoping for the best. I don't think it's going to be a guy who costs any of the "significant" aka top 7-8 prospects in the system.

I'm pretty sure their plan is to wait until Francisco comes back and have him resume his closers role.

Honestly, I won't be happy if they move one of the younger, upside types. Guys like Vaughn, Gorski, Lutz, Campbell, etc., if someone wants to dump salary or get rid of their problem. Chris Young really can't be expected to last much longer, Johan might hit a wall, and if one of those guys were to go down, we'd be screwed, not contending. Also, Harvey might be shut down in September, which leads to another issue. The Gee injury was a pretty big blow to contention, even before our current losing streak.
