Mets:
Lagares, cf
Granderson, rf
Wright, 3b
Duda, 1b
D'Arnaud, c
Den Dekker, lf
Herrera, 2b
Flores, ss
Niese, lhp

It's amazing Granderson is still batting at the top of the lineup.

Curtis Granderson is a rich man's B.J. Upton. Or perhaps B.J. Upton with a platoon advantage. Thoughts?

Also: how is Brad Penny still employed? Is there seriously no Quadruple-A guy out there to be had for free who is better? It's been half a decade since he was a net positive.

John Holdzkom (yes, that John Holdzkom) has been called up to the majors by the Pirates.

I'm sorry this is not necessary relevant to the IGT persay, but its certainly relevant to this day in baseball.

I can't believe Brad Penny is starting a major league game in 2014.

Brad Penny? Really? Well, good for him. He'll probably pitch a 2 hit shutout tonight. Couldn't ask for a better lineup to go against if you're him.

apparently he's only been added to 40-man and not called up to the majors...

The Holdzkom news is interesting, though. The Pirates acquired him out of independent ball this year (he pitched for two indy teams, the Amarillo Sox and the San Angelo Colts, neither of which I've even heard of), then sent him to Altoona. He was terrific in a few outings there, and then he headed to Indianapolis, where he was great again. Oh, and he's a legit 6-foot-7, and he throws very hard. Maybe nothing will come of Holdzkom, but it wouldn't be a shock at this point if he turned out to be a really good reliever, and it will be a nice scouting/coaching triumph if he does.

with their season over in AAA though, he should be coming up anyways.

Thank goodness for Dilson. Otherwise, I would be working my way into Season 5 of The League.

Mets are forcing Lagares to steal. Let's see if he takes off here.

I'm not sure about their logic on this front. Stealing isn't all about speed, as we've seen with the guy who bats third every night.
