That's a pretty good list and nice write-ups. I think they missed a few, but they kept it to ten, so that was inevitable. Becerra should be in the top 10 to watch for sure.

He basically confirmed his Gimenez comments = hasn't seen him so not much to add

"Andres Gimenez, SS

I got a question in a BP chat recently asking me to compare Kevin Maitan and Andres Gimenez. Sammy in Connecticut seemed a bit skeptical that there was really that big a gap between them as prospects. I’m fairly confident that Maitan’s surfeit of offensive tools is enough to make him a Top 101 prospect before he ever takes the field for a professional game, stateside or otherwise. I get the premise though. Gimenez was very highly rated in the 2015 July 2 class, and we have reports on him from actual games, granted ones from the Dominican Summer League. It’s all data of course, but the best data can be found behind home plate, which is why I will be trucking to whatever short-season affiliate he ends up at this year to find out if we were in fact a year too late on him. I expect to find a polished shortstop and an advanced hitter for an 18-year-old, like if someone used the upgrade meme on Luis Carpio. But I suspect Gimenez has the capacity to surprise me as well, which is why I keep gassing up the car for East Tennessee every year. And speaking of Carpio … — Jeffrey Paternostro"

The system is stronger than it was last year. Are you sure #4 wasn't from 2015?

You are right and wrong (and I misread as well. 2015 they were 4, 2016 15, 2017 again 15). #4 was 2015 but the Mets are #15 again this year after #15 last year. So in their eyes they did not drop or improve.

They had more guys rise in value than fall, so I'm a little puzzled by that.

Losses: Matz, Lugo, Wotell, Verrett, Ynoa

Adds: Dunn, Alonso, Kay, Planck, Gimenez (effectively an add)

Stock down: Carpio, Sanchez (I have some debate on that), Ramos, maybe Cheech (errors)

Stock up: Rosario (way up), Dom, Lindsay, Nimmo, Becerra (don't care what anyone says, his 300 plus average pushes his stock up even without power - remember the shoulder injury). Molina (up cause he looked solid in AFL), Gsellman (way up), Szapucki (way up), TJ up, Nido, Up, a half dozen pitchers are more interesting (Church, Merandy Gonzalez, Bashlor, McGowan, Corey Taylor, Conlon).

To me, Becerra & Molina, both more interesting than they were 1 year ago and both falling in the ranks - our system is WAY stronger than 2016. BA's wrong. There, I said it. (granted maybe the entire league got stronger - which kinda sucks for us if true), but, I'll say it again. My novice opinion. BA's wrong.

2016:

1. Steven Matz (LHP) MLB, 25, 26/26- 100%
2. Gavin Cecchini (SS) AAA, 22, 13/39-33%, runoff with Rosario 17/28 votes 61%
3. Dominic Smith (1B) AA, 20, 14/31-45%, runoff with Rosario 21/34 votes 62%
4. Amed Rosario (SS) AA, 19, 22/32-69%
5. Brandon Nimmo (CF) AAA, 23, 20/29- 69%
6. Wuilmer Becerra (LF) A+, 21, 13/31- 42%, runoff with Molina 14/22 votes 64%
7. Marcos Molina (SP) A+, 21, 10/28- 36%, runoff with Lindsay/Carpio 11/23 48%
8. Desmond Lindsay (OF) Rookie, 19, 10/30-33%, runoff with Carpio 16/29- 55%
9. Luis Carpio (SS), A, 19, 18/26- 69%
10. Logan Verrett (SP), 26, 11/29-38%, runoff with Gsellman/Ramos 13/22-59%
11. Robert Gsellman (SP) 22, 9/20-45%
12. Milton Ramos (SS) 19, 5/24- 21%, run-off with Urena/Sanchez 8/20-40%
13. Ali Sanchez (C) 20, 3/20-15%, runoff with Urena/Sanchez/Flexen/Wotell 7/16-44%
14. Jhoan Urena (3B) 20, 7/22-32%, runoff with Flexen 8/15-53%
15. Chris Flexen (RHP) 21, 10/22-45%
16. Max Wotell (LHP) 19, 6/23-23%, Runoff with Guillorme/Lugo/Ynoa 6/19-32%

2017:

1) German "Amed" Rosario (SS) 27/29 (93%)
2) Dominic Smith (1B) 10/27 (37%) Run-off vs. Justin Dunn (14/24-58%)
3) Justin Dunn (RHP) 14/28 (50%)
4) Robert Gsellman (RHP) 14/26 (54%)
5) Thomas Szapucki (LHP) 16/29 (55%)
6) Desmond "Dez" Lindsay (OF) 16/26 (62%)
7) Brandon Nimmo (OF) 15/28-54%
8) Gavin Cecchini (SS) 14/29-48%
9) Andres Gimenez (SS) 15/21-71%
10) TJ Rivera (Util) 10/25-40%
11) Tomas Nido (C) 7/27-26%
12) Marcos Molina (SP) 6/27-22%, Run-off with Becerra and Alonso 10/25- 40%
13) Peter Alonso (1B) 10/21-48%
14) Wuilmer Becerra (OF) 16/24-67%
15) Gabriel Ynoa (RHP) 9/26-35%, Runoff with Evans 11/14- 79%
16) Merandy Gonzalez (RHP) 6/23-26%, Runoff with Carpio 12/20-60%
17) Anthony Kay (LHP) 8/23-35%, runoff with Carpio 10/19-53%

Conlon should not be there over Merandy. Otherwise, seems pretty good.
