Champ Stuart went 1 for 3 with a run, 2 RBIs and his 35th SB of the season for Binghamton tonight.

Expected but still nice. I'm curious which position players they bring up.

Plus McGowan and Gsell when eligible and one OFer per Carig. I know he requires a 40 spot but no one is more deserving now than Boyd.

Hopefully it will be Boyd who actually could fill a role next year.

In fact I'm going to predict that if Boyd comes up, he'll be the big September surprise creating a mini-controversy at 1B. He'll actually hit and look polished. Tho he may actually get more run in LF... It will be very nice if he could grab that OF/1B role going into 2018 bc it certainly appears that Dom Smith is going to need a caddy if not some additional marinating. I'm not so sure that 1B won't be on the "to-do list" this winter.

He's no Wayne Lydon but I'm always entertained by guys like Stuart who steal bases. It's an easy thing to say, but he "just needs to make more contact" and good things could start happening accidentally. He's not going to walk enough to cover his current k-rate. I don't even know what that would look like (120 K's in 100 games is a hard thing to mask).

I'm not a believer in Boyd, but I'd be happy to see him. I also think Dom is well on his way to playing his way back to AAA next year. I think 1B next year will be Wilmers.

Jayce Boyd is basically a R/R guy best suited for DH who has only ever hit for power in Vegas, at age 26.

The sudden interest in him has me wondering if we've forgotten all of the guys who have put up numbers in Vegas over the years?

Good for him as I thought he was being fast tracked to the unemployment line a few months back, and he's earned himself an org role...but lets hold our horses on a major league bench job.

Why would you start Wilmer when you can just sign Duda or Alonso for presumably cheap?

Yeah, at this juncture I would expect there to be another 1Bman brought in.

I am not sure what the obsession is with Boyd. He is 26 and finally had a good couple of months.
