Awaiting news on Duda and d'Arnaud today. Assuming d'Arnaud will just be day-to-day, but they may elect to give Duda a DL trip now that it's only 10 days. Bring TJ back so they aren't too short on the bench today. Then start Bruce at 1B!!!

Conforto RF
Cabrera SS
Cespedes LF
Bruce 1B
Walker 2B
Granderson CF
TJ 3B
Rivera C

Reynolds was pulled from the game last night. He'll be here to replace Flores on bench.

Ugh. How many times are they going to try this? Then again, I think I'd rather see him at 3B than Reyes right now.

Ask Eric Campbell. Or Josh Edgin. Or Rafa Montero. Or Sean Gilmartin.

Do we know if TDA or Duda are anything more than dtd yet?

I guess the big question is whether or not the Mets can avoid making a forever decision today. A 40-man spot needs to be opened for Familia. Will we see a DFA or can the Mets safely project that Wright, Matz, Lugo or Nimmo can be transferred to the 60-day DL? I believe that would guarantee an absence of 38 more days.

Not that I saw. But with them, i'm sure it's going to end up as either an immediate DL stint or the Mets play two men short on the bench hoping that they'll heal up. #ortheusualwaythemetsdothings

Is there any practical way that Wright is back playing ML baseball games before June 1? I mean, he hasn't even begun baseball activities yet, has he? Is this not a no-brainer? None of which is to say that the org will miss Monty if it came to that. Wouldn't he or Reynolds be the first off the island?

One option under discussion for #Mets as they prepare to clear a spot for Familia: Moving Wright to 60-day DL.

Wright's supposed to begin baseball activities this week. I'm guessing you can just transfer him to the 60, give him a month to get back into shape...by 38 days he should be ready to come off the DL if all goes well..

They can certainly avoid (or should I say, delay) a forever decision with Wright.

The question is: why would we need to? Either Montero, Edgin or Gilmartin are headed down, and whichever one, why not just outright them off the 40 man so you're not tempted to bring that guy back up when Robles' arm is barking or something.

The amount of lives Montero has is astonishing. The other 2, while not good, have at least shown some level of not being completely awful all the time. Unlike Montero, who HAS A WHIP OF NEARLY 4. Thats not a blow-up inning, or small sample - by batters faced, he is number 1 among all relievers. 24 of 42 have reached base. Amazing.
