Sandy or whoever is in charge of the 2018 MLB draft better not fail this time like they've massively failed on some of their other #1 picks. Nimmo and Cheech have already set the franchise back. They can't screw it up again

I never minded the Nimmo pick but Cheech was awful just an awful pick
The Nimmo pick was a reach too. The kid who never played high school ball, because they don't have HS ball. Then he doesn't have the speed and all that he was supposed to have. SO we end up with a guy too slow for CF with no power who takes a lot of pitches.

Sounds like you've already decided how Nimmo is going to turn out regardless of what he actually does.
Nimmo's just not going to develop power or speed, he is what he is at this point in those areas. He'd better be the .280-300 hitter/high OBP guy cause those are his only potential above average attributes.

Well he has a great eye. I think he's a batting adjustment (maybe raising his hands?) From tapping into his power source....I hope he looks into launch angles and so what he has to do to incorporate it into his swing.

I think it was Keith who talked about him needing to adjust his approach depending on game situation. He has a solid leadoff/bases empty approach, but he needs to turn up the aggressiveness and look to drive the ball with runners on.

I have no idea what Nimmo will turn into. The power potential is there, at least some power. 15-20 homers. Will he hit for average at all (.260 or better?) Will the walks continue? He's in my god only knows category. Cecchini too. Some people have written him off but I could still see a league average starting 2nd baseman and maybe occasional SS, which isn't all that bad. I don't think either guy will be a big factor in 2018 though.
