Is there any evidence which suggests that pitching an inning 6 months from now reduces the injury risk by any discernible amount or at all?

If this is so fragile that it's like a rubber band that can pop at any moment, then I would think the risk would stay with him for a long time. However, I haven't heard anything to suggest that the recovery of this tear would be any less than 100%. Normally once muscle tissue repairs, that's it. It's intact. If the doctors determined that it's healed, then there prob isn't much risk to pitching by now.

Boy, Met fans are a nervous bunch.

And who said he's not 100% btw?

You really think there's no difference between today and 6 more months of controlled rehab.

Gotta sell tickets

They'd have to promote the guy in your avatar at this point to sell tickets. Nobody's going to buy a ticket to a game to watch Thor pitch 'one' inning. StubHub tickets are $6 and nobody's buying them.

40 move required to activate Noah. Assume they'll just shift someone else to the 60, right?

Wright had another back surgery today.

Seems very determined to make it back next year.

I wish him well. I just wish he took the Prince Fielder route

He’s due for some good injury luck. Hopefully these surgeries help his issues

I just he'll be able to walk when he's 40.

geez this is too much. Call it a day and stop with the surgeries. As long as you can walk without pain you should be happy

This latest surgery might have had 'walk without pain' as one of it's goals.
