Ben Badler of Baseball America reports that the Twins have voided their $3 million agreement with Dominican shortstop Jelfry Marte.
Minnesota apparently uncovered a vision issue during Marte's physical. The speedy 16-year-old is back on the international free agent market and has already begun working out for other teams in the Orlando area. Badler suggests it is "possible Marte could still sign with the Twins for a smaller bonus."

No one will have a shot if they don’t agree on a posting system by Monday.
However with the voided Twins contract, Braves penalty looming, new Cuban defectors. There is a lot of upside to have additional budget room at this point in the offseason.

What is the Monday deadline?
I assumed that MLB would write an exception to grandfather him in. It makes no sense to apply the international rules to him cause he's in his 20s, not 16 and the old rules he could have just signed a regular contract. The new rules should be re-written for him and I think that was the plan all along.
