Rosario not in the lineup again. Assume his bruised finger issue is lingering.

Hope Lindsay can close strong here...

I think we'd all love Goldy for Alonso hehe ;)

That puts Lindsay at .220 on the year and I believe his OPS over the .700 mark. Slowly but surely he's getting his numbers up. It would put me at his ease with regards to his future (though I wouldn't write him off completely either way at this point) if he could salvage this year and finish at least .250 and a .750-.800 OPS. Still plenty of time to make that happen and it wouldn't be the worst of full-season debut years for a 20-year-old.

Also...Gimenez with a mult-hit game, which brings him up to .277.

Desmond Lindsay is 4 for 5 with 2 doubles, 2 runs and 2 RBIs.

Blake Taylor left the game in the 2nd inning after throwing just 26 pitches (9 strikes.) Nonetheless, Cola is working on a combined 2-hitter in the 9th.

would be huge

Shervyen Newton hit his first career homer today. Mets2 won, 6-4. Mets1 lost, 2-0.

Walks to start the game and timely hits from Taijeron and Boyd put 51s on top 3-1

Bingo loses 6-4. Kaz with 2 hits, Jannis gave up 6 runs on 9 hits in 6IP. Griset and Taylor each threw one scoreless.

St. Loo lost 10-2. Mason Davis of the Hammerheads went 5-6, 4 runs, 3 doubles. For the Mets Alonso had 2 homers, and Tebow had two hits. Perhaps Alonso should be promoted...duh...

COLA got brilliant work from Cam Griffin and Matt Blackham after Blake Taylor left early. 4-0 bullpen win over the Legends. Lindsay performed as stated above.

Brooklyn won by mistake 6-4. Dylan Snypes with 2 H/2 RBIs. Trey Cobb continues to have an impressive start to his pro career, throwing 1.2 hitless.
---Cobb is now 6 games, 8 innings, 4 hits and 9Ks

Kingsport mangled the Bluefield Whatevers 17-7. Astoundingly, Jeremy Vazquez was not part of the mauling...(not sure why). 4 hits from Lagrange, 3 from Gladu and Paulino, 2 from Dirocie who hit his 6th homer of the young season. Oxford with 2 innings unscathed...the only pitcher to not let up a run.

Not sure what compelled me to compile this, but here is the current minor league injury situation. I'm sure I missed some.

Vegas:
David Roseboom - likely out for the season (foot)
Logan Taylor - out since July 1 (head)
Amed Rosario - out since July 17 (finger)

Bingo:
Blake Beavan - out since June 8 (?)
Marcos Molina - out since July 9 (unknown, but is still with team so hopefully minor)

St. Lucie:
Mike Gibbons - rehabbing with Brooklyn (Tommy John)
Jordan Humphreys - out since June 30 (?)
Josh Prevost - likely out for season (Tommy John)
Jeff Diehl - out since May 14 (getting converted to pitcher, not sure if he's healthy)

Columbia:
Seth Davis - has been out all season (unknown)
Colin Holderman - out since April 27, will pitch in GCL game early next week
Joel Huertas - out for season (Tommy John)
Max Kuhns - out since June 10 (unknown)
Thomas McIlraith - just went back on DL July 17 (unknown)
Thomas Szapucki - likely out until 2019 (Tommy John)
Natanael Ramos - rehabbing with GCL (unknown)
Ali Sanchez - out since July 8 (unknown)
Blake Tiberi - out for season (Tommy John)
Ricardo Céspedes - "rehabbing" with Brooklyn (leg)
Gene Cone - HBP on July 14, back on DL (unknown)

Brooklyn:
Carl Stajduhar - out since July 11 (head)

Kingsport:
Ronald Guedez - out since 7/31/16 (unknown)
Cameron Planck - out for season (shoulder surgery)
Yeffry De Aza - out since June 22 (ankle)
Oliver Pascual - left game on July 18, had missed 16 days earlier (unknown)
Ranfy Adon - out since June 22 (unknown)

GCL:
Matt Cleveland - hasn't pitched this season
Dariel Rivera - hasn't pitched this season (unknown)
Jose Sierra - hasn't pitched since July 7 (unknown)
Joshua Walker - hasn't pitched since July 3 (unknown)

DSL Mets:
There are a ton of pitchers who haven't pitched either this year or in a couple weeks, notably Nelmerson Angela. Position players who are out: Jose Peroza, Juan De La Rosa, Cristopher Pujols, Alejandro Medina.

Other:
Anthony Kay - out for season (Tommy John)
Michel Otanez - out for season (Tommy John)

Vegas gave up 18 unanswered runs after taking a 3-0 lead in the 1st.

Cody Decker's turn to pitch.

Dom will get one more chance to extend his hitting streak in the bottom of the 9th.

Sure enough, Dom doubles to lead off the 9th. He goes 1 for 3 with 2 walks and extends his hitting streak to 12 games.

Thanks Sluger. Cleveland and Planck were guys people were excited about after the draft and right now... yikes. Entire class of 2016 has been a disaster outside of a select few.

Jeff P said he has James #2 prospect in the 2016 class so he has him ahead of either Alonso or Dunn.
