Yeah, scroll another 40 spots down the Brewers' prospect list.

We shall see. I have hope because of the subsidy.

That would be pretty ridiculous.

If you didn't provide a subsidy, you couldn't give him away. A couple million dollars isn't buying you a top 100 prospect.

I'm just hoping for someone at least as good as Ryder Ryan.

He's never going to get a chance. I'm not even saying this in a negative way.

Yeah seems like the sort of guy who gets thrown into a Pads or Reds deal and goes on to realize some of his potential by 26 or 27 at which time the Mets look to acquire him spending top prospects and having to pay him Arb money.

Brewers have DFAd Blazek, so he's the most logical guy coming back until any more info comes out. That would be fairly pathetic.

Just a guess but it sounds like the PTBNL hasn't been put through waivers yet and thats the holdup. Which means he's one the 40 man.

That's what I thought at first, but the Brewers have already made a 40 man roster move.

LHP Brent Suter (left rotator cuff strain) placed on the 10-day disabled list. RHP Michael Blazek designated for assignment.

Blazek doesn't look like much to me. I'm guessing he doesn't get claimed by anybody. He wasn't bad in 2015, not good since then.

There's a theory going around some Brewers fans that it's Carlos Belonis (who they signed for $550 K in the international market in 2012. He's got some speed and might have a plus arm, but otherwise, I don't see it. Tall, Skinny, Athletic, DSL SS who didn't have the glove for it and was converted to an OF. Strikes out too much and doesn't hit for power. Currently on the minor league DL, hasn't played since 7-29.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but DFA'd is different than revocable waivers. It means he's already off their 40. That doesn't happen with revocable waivers.

If the mets wanted Blazek, they could have just picked him up instead of promoting McGowan. I don't see how he could be the return.

As I said with Duda and Bruce. It good to know you can get middle of the order hitters for basically Nothing in late summer these days. We will need one next year!

You don't know if the market will be like this next year. It wasn't last year or the year before.
