You're right. You only said he was terrible, but terrible AND worth watching cause those two descriptions go together all the time. :-) Gotcha.

I was just having a little fun. Prospects that far away, I don't really take anything too seriously.

Jeremy Vasquez keeps raking. 3 for 4 with a double and a walk today.

And a nice outing for Jose Geraldo, who occasionally goes Johnny Cueto on the competition.

As I said it's silly to "give up" on any 18 year old player but it IS fair to mention when an 18 year old has been terrible (especially in an age appropriate league) and that's all I did with Guerrero. Not to dump on the kid too much but lets not lose track of the fact he posted a .611 OPS last year in the DSL so.....

Really strange stance you are taking here. I NEVER said "he was terrible". Those are YOUR words. I said

""Hernandez/Guerrero have both been terrible. At least the Mets were aggressive in the IFA market this year. With them you almost fear given the bonus baby struggles of those 2 that they suddenly slam the wallet shut."

99% of the world can decipher the difference....

Peter Alonso with 16 errors at 1b already? How is that even possible? LOL

Oh come on. I'm just teasing you a little bit. (Like you don't tease me over Blake Taylor). Honestly, I didn't remember the distinction between "been terrible" and "is terrible", which is a fair distinction, but my memories not that good, and I was just poking fun. Didn't mean for it to be so serious.

Fair enough and yeah it's all in fun. But if/when Guerrero suddenly were having a fantastic 2018 somehow I'd be reminded that I said "he sucks and not worth watching" when I didn't say it lol. I'm not ready to go there on ANY 18 year old player.

Fair enough - if he surprises us and becomes a plus bat - I won't say anything. But if Blake Taylor makes it to the show and does OK, I'm going to brag a little bit.

Hard to argue with the fact if the top 2 graduate that's an ugly top "10"

Gimenez very solid season
Peterson (basically no season to judge but high pick)
Ugly season
Ranked due to HS/bonus etc more than production (no knock, it's just his draft year)
1000% bonus/pre-pro scouting reports
Flexen (Solid year but does anyone really see him as a big time MLB SP?)
Out for the year edit for A year, aka won't see him next season
Very strong offensive season, scary error totals at 1b and won't be on the field if Dom is

Other than Nido & Lindsay is anyone else in contention for the top 10?

And even though he signed for 2.1 million (a Mets record I think, but perhaps not inflation adjusted). I have a tough time putting Mauricio at #6. I don't think it's fair to rank a guy who's not even played a DSL game yet that high. After he comes stateside - OK, now, . . . I kinda hate ranking him at all but I'd maybe put him 15. Better to err on the side of caution for guys who haven't played yet.

I don't mind Peterson at 4, even though he's barely pitched, cause Dunn's been pretty bad.

Has had scoops before

"One fan appealing under the radar move
Shecky : 1:57 pm : link : reply
That is supposedly happening (at least looked into) is the minor league/spring training staff. Rehab. Injury treatment/prevention. Etc."
