Cabrera played that roller in slow motion and Gardner made him pay. Good job by Montero to pop up Hicks. He's done a nice job through 5. Can he get 3 more outs?

Only caught a few batters but this seems like a very uncharacteristic Monty outing... the kind that teases you into giving him a bunch more starts.

Just feels like we'd have more runs in this game if we still had Bruce/Walker/Duda in the lineup. I mean couldn't we wait until AFTER the Yankees series to trade them for longshot 45th round pick prospects?

Yep because what you want to do is start Montero off against Judge when he's at 90+ pitches. What could go wrong?
