Woodmansee wow. I knew he was having a bad season but.... 2 for his last 31 with 13 k's... hitting .119!!!!!

Ryder Ryan 2 innings 2 hits 0 runs 1 walk 1 k

Bautista 1 perfect 2 k's. If he keeps pitching like this he'll force the Mets to add him to the 40 man.Curious how many ML RP they add #Mets

Bautista is a stone cold lock to be added. Best arm in the system.

McGowan seemingly is pitching for his "life" the rest of the way (meaning 40 man spot). Callahan/Bautista/Uceta/Bashlor all seem very likely to be added and none figure to be "locks" for the MLB roster to start the season

He's someone who could be tossed into a deal this winter.

I don't get that at all.

Thompson's a guy who might see majors next year. He might play some 3rd base for us and you don't trade away what you need and Thompson has a shot at being something we need next year.

Hah. As I recall you went from arguing recently that Thompson is a legit fringe prospect to now a guy who may be in the ML plans for 2018... nicely done! :D

I'd like to see that thread, cause I don't think that was me. I usually defend him when Metro trashes him. I always thought he ad a shot. What I might have, said as a worst thing, if Memory serves, is that I might not have him in the top 30, but that he was close.

I've always loved a good underdog story. Go Mets (2018). I know an underdog when I see one.

3 Dunn questions
1. Does he repeat ? I suggest he should/will
2. Do his struggles impact where they place Peterson? Are they less "aggressive"?
3. Assuming the absolute worst, how long would he have to struggle for them to move him to the pen? Another half season? Full season more?

Didn't you debate Metro who considers him a non-prospect? What do you think i have wrong here?

Here is the thread but again my position has been portrayed incorrectly. I said

Guillorme is out hitting Thompson and is a year younger. He's been horrendous. If an 11 game stretch where he's hitting .343 with 1 walk makes up for a a .718 OPS on the season and .647 OPS in July then you have very low standards. He's 24 later this month and plays an offensive position. Not even his vaunted power has been particularly impressive. 11 homers, 31 players in the EL have more, .402 slugging = 34th. No need to "sorry Metro". He's been awful for a "starting 3b prospect". Fact, not opinion.

Callahan 6 IP, 9 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 9 K (nice K rate, 12 baserunners not good but it's LV... they almost "have to" call him up in Sept.)

Guys in the upper minors who aren't in your "top 30" aren't major league contributors, especially not as starting position players.

Rookie ball guys, recent draft picks, and relief pitchers aside, yes.

That was my entire point. You can't both have a guy "maybe not in my top 30" and then also project him as a starting MLB 3B. For a guy being viewed as a starting MLB 3b he's been terrible for the year. To see the majors or be MLB 24-25th man he's been "fine".

I specified guys in the "upper minors" there for that reason.
