Yeah, and if you're using the "He's 19" logic, then I guess the best report a scout could give us is:

"I have no idea. He's a teenager. He may go through 5 arm surgeries between now and his 30th birthday. He may add a pitch. He may lose a pitch. He may put on 30 lbs and add velocity. He may put on 50 lbs and eat his way out of the league. I literally have no idea what he is going to be."

But thats not what these guys are paid to do, nor what we are looking for them to do, right?

At least we know the Mets will have several bullpen options with years of control for the next several years

And btw why are we worried about putting Rhame on the 40-man roster if he JUST went through waivers? Not like anything that happens the next two weeks till the end of the minor league season is going to change his value.

He didn't go through waivers. Only players on the 40 man roster have to go through waivers to be traded.

He is on the 40 man.

But other teams probably knew he was getting traded to the Mets here and, as is custom, let him clear for that reason.

Has a good fastball but doesn't appear to have any secondaries that are MLB level. Maybe Dan can help with the slider lol.

Unless he retires, I would think that he comes back.

I only say that because Terry likely retires ...So whoever becomes the new manager may want to bring in their own staff...So Long and Warthen, etc maybe gone.
