Because no return?

If fairness, this is basically the same transaction the Mets have made 5 times already this season.

So many times I see a post I totally agree with and have basically nothing to add. I wish we had some type of like button just to support the post.

Anyway completely agree and feel the same way. Maybe its just my foul mood regarding Mets, but this annoys me as well.

I think what annoys me here is that they probably could have gotten something had they moved him last month.

As in "Dom Smith with another Plaweckian grounder to SS"?

It's odd that in a lost season there is such annoyance with playing the kids. That's why they are doing it...there is literally nothing to lose.

See what Rosario, Plawecki, Smith, Nimmo, Reynolds, maybe a pen arm or two (not sure why Milone is being recycled)...wish they'd bring up Cecchini and move Cabrera elsewhere.

It's already pretty evident only Rosario is going to amount to something.

this September should be like an NYFS dream. The current 25 man roster alone has about 15 players that were Top 5 prospects in the system at one time. The DL has another 6.

But based on the returns we've seen would it have been anything other than an A-ball reliever?

Just spitballing here, but maybe this shows where we miss Depo?

Yeah, and if you're using the "He's 19" logic, then I guess the best report a scout could give us is:

"I have no idea. He's a teenager. He may go through 5 arm surgeries between now and his 30th birthday. He may add a pitch. He may lose a pitch. He may put on 30 lbs and add velocity. He may put on 50 lbs and eat his way out of the league. I literally have no idea what he is going to be."

But thats not what these guys are paid to do, nor what we are looking for them to do, right?

Tho I DO respect your comment, I believe it is not fair to say that, at least not yet.

I still think Plaw will prove to be more than a soft ground out and that Dom will be a pretty darn good player. As to Milone....I would rather have seen them promote Marcos Molina or Corey Oswalt (we may see both in a couple of weeks).
