My initial reaction to Dom Smith is he is too laid back.. he don't attack the ball. He kind of reminds me of Kirk Nieuwenheis. Like he lacks confidence in his abilities. Also his weight is a concern. Someone that young and a pro ball player should make a better effort to control his weight. I know it can be tough but it can limit his earning power or even his career.

Rosario on the other hand attacks the ball , sometimes a little too aggressive but I think that is a positive on his personality,,, more self confidence.

I can easily see Rosario striking out 115 times and walking 20 times next season.

115 is nothing in baseball now

The Twins JUST got something interesting for JR Murphy, who is awful.

This is the laziest firesale I've ever seen.

Just saw Tommy Milone is the beneficiary of these moves.

So yeah, that makes the light returns totally worth it.

I wonder what we'll really learn in the next month to make this horrid baseball worth it.

Then IF we learn anything, will management do anything with that info.

I think 2018 will suck too

It's odd that in a lost season there is such annoyance with playing the kids. That's why they are doing it...there is literally nothing to lose.

See what Rosario, Plawecki, Smith, Nimmo, Reynolds, maybe a pen arm or two (not sure why Milone is being recycled)...wish they'd bring up Cecchini and move Cabrera elsewhere.

That's not the annoyance, the annoyance is they get ten cents to the dollar on every rental cause they waited too long and because their primary objective is to save the 'borrowed' money on the payroll.

I don't disagree.

But you have to play him to find out for sure.

And how often is he going to play cause they still need to look at a 28-year old TDA?

I assume Tommy Milone is the new Adam Wilk and will be discarded after he saves our actual pitchers some innings.

Probably learn that Top Prospect lists mean nothing. Just a hunch.
