This. His value is such that you're basically going to have to pay to give him away.

Corey Taylor has really stunk it up given his off-season hype
Guillorme with a rough second half, .667 OPS hitting .248

Awful wow. That K rate is absolutely ridiculous http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?si ... g/2017/ALL

They didn't even explain to Conlon what the deal with his usage is? Bizarre.

Someone will take the risk given it's 1 control year left, in order to get the perceived upside. We see that all the time. And even with a modest raise for a final arb year, I'd guess he's somewhere in the $6M range, which a bunch of teams prob don't flinch at for the potential if things click.

This is why I said it would be great if he had 4 or 5 "successful" and healthy starts to finish out the season. I'll stick with my Harvey for Profar swap. Rangers obviously need to move him also... a swap of change-of-scenery players, both without much value.

Sherman (I think) was saying that if Harvey was a free agent right now he had teams telling him he would easily get a $10m deal for one year. He's around $7m next year. I bet you can get something useful for him this offseason. Pitching is incredibly scarce right now league wide. Someone will take that risk on.

Yeah really had a lot of hope for Corey Taylor. :( Hopefully he will bounce back next year
