That's not the worst idea I've heard. But I'd rather have another minor leaguer from Cleveland if they have genuine interest.

I've always loved a good underdog story. Go Mets (2018). I know an underdog when I see one.

Did we ever figure out what happened with Jack Schneider?

I'd like to see Cecchini play so that works too. Let's see if he has a role or not.

The Mets poor record aka people not caring is the only thing keeping Matt Reynolds from being a fan pinata. Man he's terrible. If they lose ANYONE to protect him on the 40 man I'll be really bummed. He's horrid.

Ahem.

Reynolds is like the ultimate survivor.... Rivera can't really play 3b, gets hurt, Cecchini can't play 3b, Flores isn't good at 3b.

No offense, but if it comes down to this team needing a Rule 5 pickup to stock the 25-man, then they're in worse shape than even the harshest detractors here are saying.

No offense taken. I did say "if". It all depends on who's out there. Rule 5 tends to be pitcher heavy and several of the teams early on are looking for young kids with upside. I'm just saying if there's an AAA, 24-25 year old that a team didn't have room for, who plays a key position (3B or CF), maybe the mets should bite.

The rumor going around is that the Yankees better make trades quickly this offseason because all those hard throwers in their system are going to get poached. And you know Sandy wants to stick it to them if the Mets can make the room. To be honest if somehow the Mets lose Blackham and Oswalt in the rule 5 and the Yankees lose no one we should all just quit watching this team and concede that God is a Yankee fan.

Well, to his credit, he can actually play all 3 spots, rather than just stand at those positions like Flo, TJ or Cheech.

Sluggin' David Thompson homered in the Binghamton 2nd.

The game is now tied at 1.

You stopped a bit early.

Montero, Goeddel, Lugo once he has his inevitable TJS, Reynolds, Becerra, Molina.

I doubt both Smoker and Robles are back next year, but thats part of the second wave, when we start selling arms to the Orioles later in the winter.

But also, one of Reyes or AsCab will be back next year, I'm nearly positive.

Lugo being because he goes to the 60?

None of the "usual suspects" on twitter have heard anything on Schneider very strange to say the least

He's passable in the OF too - not that you'd want to play him there very often, but it's a small plus.

I'm torn on Reynolds, but leaning towards keeping him. I realize that puts me in the minority here.
