There it is, folks. Come on out and see the bright young future of the Mets, like Jose Reyes playing corner OF.

At least we got a bunch of relievers that we'll probably still chose Erik Goeddel and Rafa Montero over when push comes to shove.

Sandy: Terry, I know it's tough, but you can't play Reyes on the infield tonight. Going forward, we gotta see what these kids can do.

Terry: I will not play Reyes on the infield.

To be fair, the Mets really do only have 2 active outfielders right now, and I think 15 relievers (or at least it seems that way).

I'm not going to lose sleep if Reyes plays over Taijeron. (Is Taijeron still up?)

I've always loved a good underdog story. Go Mets (2018). I know an underdog when I see one.

I wouldn't say I'd lose sleep over it, but give Taijeron a chance? Unless there's some real interest in Reyes and they are showcasing him for a couple days or something. Hard to imagine, though.

Jeez, I'd rather see Snider called up than Reyes in the OF (or playing at all).

As far as the draft order goes, I suspect the Phils have the top spot locked up. The Giants and ChiSox look good for place and show, respectively. With seven games left with Cincy, maybe the Mets are looking to move "up?" I get it that this isn't the NBA, but they must be considering this at least at some level.

They certainly look like a top 10, with a five game lead on the #11 team (Pittsburgh)

At this point, 4 isn't looking drastically different from 10 aside from the money.

Sept schedule is fairly easy. Even this roster should play > .500 for September.

Not that I was ever a TdA fan, but I long ago wrote off Plaw. That being said, wayyyyy more interested in seeing what he can do for these next 5 weeks than watching TdA get elevated in the lineup by sheer attrition - and continuing to be the exact same guy we swear off every September and then run back to by the time March hits.

Kudos for sticking by your man - he may just be the more interesting of the duo yet.
