um why would they opt to give up an out there with their 3 hitter at the plate and no one out? I'm assuming the game log is correct and it was a sacrifice.

He was bunting for a hit, had the left side of the infield open. Just didn't push it far enough. Both Gary and Keith agree, and Gary lamented that the scoring rules are interpreted to mean "always assume sacrifice."

ok thnx for clearing that up.

I think Flexen should probably have some planned pen experiences. Let him work specific things.

And Oswalt should get a chance!

Hee hee. No bias here.

Juan Lagares has made 3 awesome plays in two innings. So that's fun at least.

He has been awesome today. I think he should be in CF every day next year. Nimmo is showing potential to be a nice 4th OF with his OBP ability. So in the off season they should focus on finding a frontline infielder to play next to Rosario (either side works), a catcher and fixing the pitching staff.

I know Dom Smith is heavy but he runs pretty well and wasn't gassed at all getting to second on that double.

Nice throw by Plawecki. Is it assumed he's the starter next year with Travis backing up and maybe playing some 3b and 1b?

Plawecki maybe finally putting it together. Hitting the ball harder and looks better behind dish. Should be a noce backup for next year.

Also, I really hope this is Familia's last year in Mets uni.

TdA will not be a Met next year. Thats like #1 on the list of things to do.

"I wanted [TDA's deep fly to center to drop] worse than I wanted any goddamned thing in my life. You'd think I could just this once, wouldn't you?"

Me channeling Pop Fisher in The Natural a moment ago.

We'll see about that. Moving him (where Plaw wouldn't just take over the position full time) would require some on-the-fly roster construction that I'm not too confident is going to happen.

I think the next 25 games determine who the starting C will be next year.

Who can I speak to about getting this IGT off of my permanent record?

I'm pretty confident they don't want to pay him any more than he is making now so I think they would unload him to someone just to save the dough and then wing it at C.
