I'm just not sure where we're going to spend the money.

I mean I could see it at 1B, but apparently we've got John Olerud but with better defense over there. Hard to upgrade on that.

At 3B, we have a guy whose $/WAR is in great shape, and thats half the battle.

In CF, I've heard many many folks ring the "Lagares has to play!!!" the last few weeks.

In the bullpen, we've got some amazing returns on our rental trades (Thank God for Sandy).

At Catcher, we have not only a pitch framing and runner tagging savant, but someone with new found confidence after being moved to the cleanup hole and having positive stories written about him on Mets.com (actual headline this morning: "D'arnaud drives in lone run vs. Phillies").

So I guess that leaves 2B and a "Colon-esque" starter. How much money are Neil Walker and Bartolo Colon going to really cost?

Oh obviously, most would agree this is all a rational fear knowing how this FO operates. I just think they have the added issue of a division that won't be loaded with patsies anymore very quickly. If they don't act decisively and with urgency this winter, they should be ridiculed in the strongest terms. I sincerely hope the media (local and national) don't let up on them. If they let the Phils pass them by, they may get to the point where they may have to go all in on a rebuild. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

The all-in rebuild is coming. By this time next year, we'll be fully focused on 2022 being our year with Gimenez and Vientos as our new Wright and Reyes.

No they aren't. And no they won't.

We just have to get our own house in order.

So, if I send a video to the mets, they might sign me? I meet the criteria.

This team is one good free agent signing and one good trade away from the playoffs next year
(if healthy, of course)

Maybe, but this team is also a crap-shoot.

I like Thor, I think this year was a lesson for him, but I still think he's got the goods.

deGrom is legit but I do worry about how long he'll stay good.

After that it's a world of questions. I don't know what kind of pitcher Matz is. Wheeler, Harvey & Gsellman might be below average. Lugo's nice as a 6th starter, but I don't see much more than that. . . . and the hitting, Cespedes gets hurt, Conforto has to recover from his weird injury and surgery. We have no 1st baseman, no 3rd baseman, perhaps big holes in the OF depending on Cespedes/Conforto's health.

The 2018 mets are a total crap shoot. They need so much to go right.

You need a bit bigger font for that "if"

Phills definitely have some talent. They need to add a pitcher or two. But the Marlins? Hah. Jeter apparently wants to cut their payroll to 55 Million and they are probably trading Stanton.

Yeah I don't see them trading Stanton... unless they want to be loathed and alienate their fans right away.
