I'm just going to say that I would take Wilmer Flores over Gavin Cecchini quite easily.
Nope.
Wilmer Flores is terribad.

I find this talk about Kelenic comical. He's a 19 year old kid who hit .253 at Kingsport and struck out once a game and people are talking like he's the second coming. Get real people. When you have a chance to get the best reliever in the game who's only 24 and give up Kelenic in the deal, you MAKE that deal. Stop with the nonsense.
Go look at the mediocrity that a bunch of teams are throwing out there at 2B and tell me that again.
Flores is an above-average bat at that position. He might also be a below-average glove, but sacrificing offense for defense at a few positions is okay (especially if we'll have Rosario at SS and Lagares in CF). I imagine 2B will be by-committee next year between Flores and TJ anyways.
I think people are just remembering how bad Flores is on the left side of the infield, where the Mets have tried to force him in recent years. On the right side he's not that bad, and an .800 OPS from a guy who's improved at the plate each year is pretty solid. If we trade him I guarantee he has a breakout year in the AL with a .850-.900 OPS. He's entering his prime now.
Agree 100%
