This will be the weakest list in the history of this annual ritual

It's like voting on who's the tallest dwarf

This list already is becoming very depressing....

I went with Alonso and am hoping Anthony Kay is listed for the next round.....can always hope that Peterson and Kay could be #3 or #4 starters in a couple of years and since we have seen little or nothing from them yet, we cannot point out their poor performances yet (but yes, this is a real yawn....)

I actually do see a bright light coming from the DR...possibly a lot of B to C+ prospects in the works (unfortunetly no B+ or better,,..no standouts but some pretty good youngsters, with hope that some of them have decent ceilings). Need to replace Brooklyn's roster with the best from DR-2 and DR-1 rosters next year.

Kay nomination noted, he will replace the winner of this poll.

I went

1. Gimenez
2. Vientos

Always partial to position player talent over pitchers that haven't reached at least AA and shown some success.

Correct me if I"m wrong, HK, but you like Phil Evans, right?

Odd bodies- Chris Flexen and Phil Evans. Corey Taylor also struck me as looking like a beer leaguer when I saw him.

But Flex is like 6'4". Evans certainly doesn't have a great body and is clearly maxed out. Would be great if he dropped 10 lbs. Likewise there is no physical projection for Guillorme at 5'9" 200+.

Flexen IS 6'4 but he has a very odd build. He looks like a refrigerator or something. I'm not even saying odd bodies can't work, just noting ones that stand out.

And pitchers can more easily get away with it. (occasionally first basemen too).

I might be voting for Guillorme soon, but I think there's still a chance he hits a lot.

I just don't see his physical tools giving him a low ceiling there. And with his strong plate discipline and contact ability, he's going to continue to get opportunities. He's just not a Torvar or Tejada type who seems physically incabable of turning into a Dustin Pedroia or Justin Turner.

I like this post, and I could see voting for Guillorme ahead of, Dunn for example - in what many would call a stretch but not a huge stretch. I like him more than most.

I'd like him a lot better if BA or someone would give him top a top 20 league ranking. None of the prospect writers that I know of have stood behind him and they're supposed to know more than me, so that concerns me a bit, but I like the profile of contact hitter, draws walks and plus glove.

and Guillorme doesn't have a bad body.

and he's not short (all the way on the left). Some guys who are listed 5'9 are really 5'7. Guillorme's listing seems to be honest.

I never denied that Phil Evans has a bad body. It's a completely different offensive (and defensive) profile and swing.

I have to say that I agree on Gimenez. I can't help but see shades of Ruben Tejada when I read his write ups.

0 Mets make the NY/Penn top 20 prospects

I wonder if any get honorable mention. Maybe I should ask this question in chat. "How hard did you guys laugh while discussing the Mets prospects?"

Who's our best prospect in Brooklyn? Rasquin? Medina (hitter not pitcher), The injured Matt Winaker? Worse than Binghamton in terms of prospects. There's just nothing there.

Brooklyn was pretty horrible and their record was well deserved. Walter Rasquin, however, as short as he is, may actually be a prospect.....

I’ve seen him and he’s not.

Isn't Walter Rasquin like a short, pudgy, no power guy who can't play the field?
