So should we just make the playoff thread?

The 4 starters combined to throw 7.1 innings. Only 1 made it past 2 innings. None made it to 4.

The days where bullpens have to get 15-18 outs a game are coming soon.

The most surprising part, to me, was Greinke. Severino is a headcase. Santana has been mediocre most of his career. And Grey hasn't exactly tore it up for his career, though he is talented.

It better be cause the title looks silly until and if the Yankees get eliminated although tonight was a nice start, especially since I like most of America thought Tito was getting way too cute with his rotation, but Bauer made the first-guessers look silly.

Second guessers prob hadn't seen much of Bauer pitch in the second half. Either way I didn't really follow the hand wringing. Even if the Tribe failed to take game 1, Kluber is a stopper for game 2. If they do win game 1, it's a big advantage with your ace taking the mound for game 2 with one game already in your pocket.

My issue with it was more not pitching Carrasco Game 1 and only having HIM available for one start than pushing Kluber back. I think to a degree they decided they'd rather have Carrasco start on the road because his splits are better there and Bauer's two August games against the Yankees I suppose factored in too but I felt it was very risky having Tomlin of all pitchers potentially sitting there for Game 4 down 2-1 or having to pitch Bauer on short rest when he'd never done it instead of having either of your aces available for that game.

Well maybe we ought to just trust the manager who has won 2 world series and was just in it last year.

Still angers me that the Bruce deal was strictly a salary dump and nothing else. No matter what Sandy may have claimed at the time.

I pretty much agree with your thinking.

Here's a #hottake:

Rusty Ryan or whatever his name is has his Mets tenure ended by being a minor league portion of the Rule 5 draft selectee.
